A 19-member Governing Council, headed by Advisor to the Lt Governor as its Chairman, is the apex decision making body and be responsible for approving the broad vision and framework for Skill Development in the UT. The Governing Council meets once in six months or as frequently as may be considered necessary by the Chairman.
Apart from the Governing Council, there is an Executive Committee, headed by Secretary, Technical Education & Skill Development Department Ladakh, who is also the Mission Director, Ladakh Skill Development Mission.
The 11-member Executive Committee shall be responsible for implementation and monitoring of all activities of the Mission as prescribed by the Governing Council and meets at least every three months or as often as required.
